A collapsible tree map includes an interactive element shown as an example in the below chart. Any parent node can be clicked on to collapse the portion of the tree below on itself. Conversely, it can be clicked gain to regrow it
Use Cases:
We can show data such as sales by product hierarchy (Product, Product category, Product sub-category), Territory levels (Country ,Region, State, City, Postal code) employee hierarchical structure etc. We can enable the data interaction between Tableau workbook and advanced charts through extensions.
A correlation between application and their working areas can be shown in a hierarchical structure for each subject area.
It also helps the management in doing impact analysis at the application level.
