We introduced Grid view in Tableau dashboards using extensions, which has its own internal charting library. It is used to visualize the multiple dimensions and measure values. It has advanced features such as auto column group, multi auto column group, enabling grand totals on each dimension level individual column sorting, filter on each column,reset the columns and many more
Use Cases:
There are several scenarios which are suitable for visualization in Grid View. Some examples in Grid level chart include the depiction of data for marketing, sales, and bookings with multiple measures. There is no restriction on the limit of columns you can have in the Grid view, and also it comes with more advanced features that can be embedded into for analysis.
